Turkish company wins tender announced in Israel

Turkey’s Anadolu Isuzu company engaged in the production of buses under the license of the Japan’s Isuzu Motors Limited won a tender in Israel, said a message posted Dec. 7 on the website of Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (Kamuoyunu Aydinlatma Platformu – KAP).

Starting from 2018, Anadolu Isuzu will be producing small and medium-sized city, coach and tourist buses for Israel, according to the message.

The total cost of buses scheduled to be produced will amount to 19 million euros.

Anadolu Isuzu is one of the leading medium-sized bus and coach manufacturing companies in Europe whose major shareholders are Turkey’s Anadolu Group and Isuzu Motors Limited and Itochu Corporation from Japan. The company is the first Japanese joint venture in Turkish automotive industry.

Main fields of operation of Anadolu Isuzu are the production and distribution of light duty trucks and midibuses. Since the establishment of the company in 1984, nearly more than 150,000 vehicles have been manufactured in accordance with the Isuzu Motors license agreement.
