Turkey deems Dutch Parliament’s decision on the 1915 events unacceptable, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said, Turkish media reported Feb. 23.

He noted that there are no historical facts confirming a "genocide" of Armenians.

Cavusoglu added that negative attitude has been observed in the relations between the Netherlands and Turkey over the past year.

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the decision of the Dutch Parliament to recognize the so-called Armenian genocide.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor, the Ottoman Empire, allegedly carried out "genocide" against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. While strengthening the efforts to promote the "genocide" in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
