As part of the fight against the terrorist organization PKK, a local military operation was carried out in Turkey's Sirnak Province, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey said in a message on Oct. 31.
During the operation in Mount Judy in Sirnak Province four PKK militants were eliminated, according to the message.
"Presently, operations to eliminate terrorists continue," the message said.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for more than 30 years and has claimed more than 40,000 lives.
The UN and the European Union list the PKK as a terrorist organization.
