Trade turnover between Turkey and Iran down

The trade turnover between Turkey and Iran decreased by $274.5 million and reached $712.6 million in April 2019 compared to April 2018, Trend reports on June 12 referring to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.

"In April 2019, the export of the Turkish goods to Iran reached $213.5 million, while the import of the Iranian goods by Turkey - $499.1 million," the ministry said.

The trade turnover between Turkey and Iran also decreased by $762.7 million and reached $2.865 billion in January-April 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.

"In January-April 2019, the export of the Turkish goods to Iran reached $793.2 million, while import of the Iranian goods by Turkey - $2.072 billion," the ministry said.

Turkey’s foreign trade turnover reached $33.377 billion in April 2019.

During the reporting period, the export of the Turkish goods increased by 5.38 percent and reached $15.273 billion compared to April 2018.

In April 2019, the import of goods from Turkey decreased by 14.62 percent and reached $18.104 billion compared to April 2018.
