Turkey to export drones “Songar”

Turkey will export domestic-made drones “Songar”, Trend reports referring to Turkish media.

The drones will be exported to countries of the region, as well as to several Arab states.

The exact start date for the export of the drones is not reported. The first cargo of combat drones “Songar” will soon be supplied to the Turkish Armed Forces.

Small dornes developed by the Turkish company ASISGUARD are equipped with automatic weapons and can carry air bombs.

Two ASISGUARD developments - the micro drone “Salgur” and the combat drone “Songar” - were first demonstrated at the 14th International Defense Industry Fair Exhibition IDEF 2019 in Istanbul.

The drones can perform tasks at a distance of up to 10 kilometers and rise to a height of up to 2,800 meters.

Small drones are capable of carrying ammunition of 200 rounds of 5.56x45 mm caliber and are equipped with an automatic firing system.
