The export of the Turkish goods to the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) reached $28.706 billion in January-August 2019 and increased by 8.9 percent compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports on Oct. 1 referring to Turkish Ministry of Trade.
The import of the goods from OIC member-states by Turkey for the reporting period decreased by 18 percent and amounted to $16.904 billion.
"The export of the Turkish goods to OIC countries reached $3.191 billion in August 2019 and grew by 3.2 percent compared to August 2018," the ministry said.
In August 2019, the import of goods from OIC countries by Turkey increased by 1.9 percent compared to August 2018 and reached $1.999 billion.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $28.6 billion in August this year.
Turkey’s total export amounted to $13.1 billion in August 2019 and increased by 1.69 percent compared to August 2018.
In turn, Turkey’s import decreased by 0.27 percent and amounted to $15.5 billion.
