In August 2019, white and gray cars were in greatest demand among Turkish citizens, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Some 53.8 percent of cars in August 2019 were white, according to the report.
“Some 23.89 percent of cars on Turkish roads in August 2019 were gray, 6.9 percent - black, 5.6 percent - red, 4.9 percent – blue, 2.8 percent – yellow and 2.11 percent – of other colors,” the report said.
In August 2019, the number of vehicles on Turkish roads decreased by 42.2 percent compared to the same month of 2018 and amounted to 23.113 million vehicles.
The share of cars amounted to 54.1 percent, that of vans and trucks to 16.4 percent, motorcycles to 14.3 percent, tractors to 8.2 percent, and the share of other vehicles amounted to 7 percent.
Renault accounted for 13.5 percent of active vehicles used in August 2019, Fiat – 6.5 percent, Volkswagen – 15.6 percent, Peugeot – 5 percent, Honda – 5.3 percent.
The remaining 54.1 percent accounted for other car brands.
