From January to September 2019, agricultural exports from Turkey increased by 1.7 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $16.355 billion, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM).
Agricultural exports for the reporting period accounted for 13.4 percent of Turkey’s total exports.
“In September 2019, exports of Turkish textile products also increased by 9.8 percent compared to September 2018, amounting to $2.081 billion,” said the report. “Its share amounted to 14.8 percent of total exports in September 2019.”
It was noted that from September 2018 to September 2019, Turkish agricultural exports grew by 2 percent compared to the period from September 2017 to September 2018, amounting to $22.9 billion.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $32.181 billion, according to the report.
“From January to September 2019, Turkey’s total trade turnover amounted to $286.419 billion,” the report said.
