Most of companies registered in Turkey from January through September 2019 accounted for Iranian ones

The biggest number of companies registered in Turkey from January through September 2019 accounted for Iranian companies, Trend reports on Oct. 23 referring to the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges.

Some 734 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through September 2019, which is 26 companies more compared to the same period of 2018.

The total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey from January through September 2019 amounted to 105,390,000 Turkish liras ($18.04 million), while in the same period of 2018 this figure was 96,309,000 Turkish liras ($16.49 million).

From January through September 2019, the biggest number of Iranian companies was registered in Istanbul (604 companies), with the total capital of 77,647,000 Turkish liras ($13.29 million).

“During the reporting period, 20 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Ankara, and 55 companies with Iranian capital in Antalya province from January through September 2019,” read the report. “The total capital of Iranian companies registered in Antalya from January through September 2019, amounted to 6,456,000 liras ($1.10 million).”

Five mining, 69 industrial companies, 26 construction companies, 327 wholesale and retail companies, 74 tourism companies, four financial and insurance companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through September 2019.

The remaining 253 companies registered with Iranian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

The total capital of 327 wholesale and retail companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 53,562,000 liras ($9.17 million).
