In September 2019, 50 construction companies were registered in Turkey, which is 4.78 percent more compared to September 2018, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) told Trend on Oct. 25.
"In September 2019, 44 companies rendering consulting services were registered in Turkey, which is 4.21 percent more compared to September 2018," TOBB reports.
Forty-two IT companies were registered in the country in September 2019, which is 4.02 percent more compared to September 2018.
During the reporting period, 20 hotels were registered in Turkey (an increase of 1.91 percent) and 25 energy companies, which is 2.39 percent more compared to the same month of 2018.
The biggest number of companies, which were closed in Turkey in September 2019, accounted for the energy sector.
"In September 2019, 289 energy companies closed in Turkey, which is 16.50 percent more than in September 2018," the TOBB said.
As many as 167 construction companies also closed, which is 9.53 percent more than in the same month of 2018.
In September 2019, 12 bank branches opened and 40 bank branches closed in Turkey.
"In January-September 2019, 77 branches of banks opened and 216 branches closed in Turkey," TOBB said.
