Export of goods from Turkey’s Istanbul, Ankara to UAE exceed $1B in 9 months

The export of goods from Turkey’s Istanbul and Ankara cities to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amounted to over $1.1 billion from January through September 2019, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Oct. 28.

“The export of goods from Istanbul to the UAE increased by 24.28 percent from January through September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018 and reached over $1.0 billion,” the ministry said.

"The export of goods from Ankara to the UAE increased by 7.52 percent from January through September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018 and reached over $45.1 million," the ministry said.

According to the ministry, the export of goods from Istanbul and Ankara to the UAE reached over $97.9 million in September 2019.

“The export of goods from Istanbul to the UAE decreased by 2.15 percent in September 2019 compared to September 2018 and reached nearly $92.5 million," the report said. “The export from Ankara to the UAE amounted to over $5.4 million in September 2019, which is 27.99 percent more compared to September 2018.”

The export of goods from Turkey to the UAE increased by 13.40 percent from January through September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018 and reached nearly $1.7 billion.

Turkey’s foreign trade turnover increased by 0.11 percent and reached almost $32.2 billion in September 2019 compared to September 2018.

Turkey’s total trade turnover reached over $286.4 billion from January through September 2019.
