Turkey discloses export volume from Istanbul, Ankara and Van province to Iran (Exclusive)

The export of goods from Turkey’s Istanbul and Ankara cities to Iran has surpassed $994.3 million from January through September 2019, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Oct. 28.

“The export of goods from Istanbul to Iran increased by 8.17 percent and reached $949.2 million from January through September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018,” the ministry said.

"The export of goods from Ankara to Iran decreased by 21.22 percent and reached over $45.1 million from January through September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018," the ministry said.

The export of goods from Istanbul and Ankara to Iran reached over $96.6 million in September 2019.

"The export of goods from Ankara to Iran reached over $5.7 million in September 2019, which is 10.39 percent less compared to September 2018,” the ministry said. “The export from Istanbul to Iran increased by 14.81 percent and reached over $90.9 million in September 2019 compared to September 2018."

The export of goods from Turkey’s Van border province to Iran increased by 1.56 percent and reached over $20.3 million from January through September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.

The export of goods from Van province to Iran increased by 70.82 percent and reached over $2.8 million in September 2019 compared to September 2018.

The export of goods from Turkey to Iran decreased by 4 percent and reached over $1.8 billion from January through September 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.

Turkey’s foreign trade turnover increased by 0.11 percent and reached over $32.2 billion in September 2019 compared to September 2018.

Turkey’s total trade turnover reached over $286.4 billion from January through September 2019.
