Cargo transportation volume from Turkey to Uzbekistan up from January through September 2019

Some 16,780 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Uzbekistan from January through September 2019, which is 25 percent more compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

According to the association, 1.80 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment from Turkey by trucks for the reporting period accounts for Uzbekistan.

Some 12,693 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Uzbekistan from January through September 2019, which is 53 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

As reported, 934,404 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad from January through September 2019, which is 5 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

“Some 77.60 percent of the total volume of cargo transshipment by vehicles accounted for the share of cargo transported from Turkey by Turkish trucks from January through September 2019,” the association said.

According to the report, 269,653 foreign trucks transported cargo across Turkey from January through September 2019, which is 3 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

“The share of cargo transportation from Turkey by foreign trucks amounted to 22.40 percent from January through September 2019,” UND said.

During the reporting period, 300,673 Turkish trucks transported cargo from foreign countries.
