The volume of air cargo transportation in Turkey decreased by 13.5 percent from January through October 2019 compared to the same period of 2018, and amounted to 2.8 million tons, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
From January through October 2019, 699,137 tons of cargo were transported by domestic flights, and 2.1 million tons by international ones.
In the reported period, domestic freight traffic decreased by 9.8 percent compared to the same period of 2018, and freight traffic by international flights decreased by 14.6 percent compared to the same period of 2018.
The freight traffic at the three main airports of Turkey (Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya) was 810,029 tons from January through October 2019.
