In October 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Ukraine through Turkey's ports slightly exceeded 11.1 million tons, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

According to the ministry, in October 2019, cargo transshipment from Ukraine by vessels flying the Ukrainian flag amounted to 574,067 tons, while vessels flying flags of other countries carried over 8.7 million tons.

During the reported month, the volume of cargo transshipment from Ukraine via Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to just over 1.8 million tons.

Moreover, over 1.8 million tons of cargo were transported in transit from Ukraine through the ports of Turkey in October 2019.

In October 2019, Turkish ports received 5,126 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to 69.8 million tons.

In the reporting period, 1,852 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 3,274 vessels flying flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.

In October 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 10.5 million tons, and vessels flying the flags of other countries – 59.2 million tons.

From January through October 2019, Turkish ports received 46,607 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to 660.7 million tons.

In the reporting period, 17,853 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 28,754 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.

From January through October 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 99.1 million tons, and vessels flying the flags of other countries – 561.5 million tons.
