Volume of transshipment of petroleum coke via Turkish ports in October revealed

In October 2019, 1.8 million tons of petroleum coke were transshipped through the Turkish ports as a whole, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Nov. 28.

During the mentioned period, the volumes of transshipment of petroleum coke by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 42,183 tons, according to the report.

“In October 2019, ships flying the flags of their countries transshipped 284 tons of petroleum coke through the Turkish ports, and 1.8 million tons of petroleum coke were transshipped by ships flying the flags of other countries,” the ministry said.

No transit transshipment of this cargo through the Turkish ports was carried out during the reporting period.

In October most of the transit cargo through the Turkish ports was transshipped from Italy, China, Spain, Ukraine, Russia, India, Georgia, Romania, Egypt and Greece.

In October 2019, the volume of transit transshipment from Italy through the Turkish ports amounted to 33.4 million tons.

China ranks the second in terms of transit transshipment through the Turkish ports with a total volume of 2.3 million tons, and Spain with 2 million tons ranks third.

In October 2019, transit transshipments were carried out from Ukraine through the Turkish ports with a total volume of 1.8 million tons, from Russia - 1.8 million tons, from India - 1.7 million tons and from Georgia - 1.7 million tons.

In October 2019, transit transshipments were carried out from Romania through the Turkish ports with a total volume of 1.4 million tons, from Egypt - 1.3 million tons, from Greece - also 1.3 million tons.

In October 2019, the total volume of transit transshipment through the Turkish ports amounted to 64.4 million tons.
