From January through October 2019, Turkish exports to Turkic-speaking countries increased by 16.3 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $3.8 billion, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend Dec. 3.
“In October 2019, Turkish exports to Turkic-speaking countries increased by 28.7 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $344.5 million,” the ministry said.
The ministry noted that for the ten months of 2019, Turkey’s imports from Turkic-speaking countries increased by 6.9 percent and amounted to $2.6 billion.
In October 2019, Turkish imports from Turkic-speaking countries increased by 19 percent compared to October 2018 and amounted to $212.3 million.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $34.5 billion in October 2019.
During the reporting month, Turkey's export decreased by 1.5 percent compared to October 2018 and amounted to $16.3 billion. In turn, import to Turkey increased by 10.7 percent compared to the same period of 218 and equaled $18.1 billion.
Total value of Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $320.9 billion from January through October 2019.
