Turkish Transport Ministry suspends CANLIOĞLU TURİZM company's participation in tenders

Starting on Dec. 14, the participation of the Turkish company CANLIOĞLU TURİZM TAŞIMACILIK OTOMOTİV İNŞAAT SAN. VE TİC.LTD.ŞTİ. in tenders announced by the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has been suspended for two years, Trend reports referring to the ministry.

The reason for the suspension has not yet been reported .

Some 37,845 tenders were held by 6,930 structures in Turkey in the first half of 2019.

From January through June this year, 5,243 tenders were held in Turkey in the construction sector, 22,204 tenders regarding procurement of goods, 10,281 in the services sector and 117 tenders in attracting consulting services.

“Some 5,146 tenders were cancelled before the announcement of the results,” reads the report.

The total value of the tenders for the reporting period amounted to 67.1 billion liras ($11.6 billion).

From January through July 2019, the Turkish Presidential Administration announced 21 tenders for 28.5 million liras ($4.9 million), the Turkish Parliament - nine tenders for 43.6 million liras ($7.5 million), the Foreign Ministry - five tenders for 10.2 million liras ($1.7 million), the Ministry of Healthcare – 4,600 tenders for 10.4 billion liras ($1.8 million), the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources - two tenders for 1.5 million liras ($258,800), provincial municipalities – 7,800 tenders totaling 16.6 billion liras ($2.9 million).
