Volume of crude oil transshipment through Turkish ports in November announced

In November 2019, 27.7 million tons of crude oil were transported through the Turkish ports, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

The volume of crude oil transshipment by vessels flying the flag of Turkey amounted to 2.3 million tons in November 2019.

“During the reporting period, 23.8 million tons of crude oil were shipped through Turkish ports by vessels flying their country's flag and 1.6 million tons of crude oil were shipped by vessels flying the flag of other countries,” the ministry said.

During the reporting period, volumes of crude oil transit through the Turkish ports amounted to 48.4 million tons.

In November, most of transit cargo through the Turkish ports was transported from Italy, China, Spain, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Romania, Egypt, Greece and Portugal.

The volumes of transit transshipment from Italy through the ports of Turkey amounted to 36.8 million tons in November 2019.

China has the second biggest transit through Turkish ports with a total volume of 2.5 million tons.

Spain with over 2 million tons ranks third in this indicator.

A total volume of over million tons was transited from Ukraine through the Turkish ports, from Russia -1.9 million tons, from Georgia - 1.8 million tons in November 2019.

In November 2019, a total volume of 1.6 million tons was transited from Romania through the Turkish ports, 1.5 million tons from Greece, 1.4 million tons from Egypt and 1.3 million tons from Portugal.

The total volume of transit transshipment through the Turkish ports amounted to 64.4 million tons in November 2019.
