Turkish Asya Biyogaz Enerji Uretim A.S. is preparing for the construction of the Asya Biyogaz Tesisi biogas power plant, Trend reports referring to Turkish media.
The power plant will be built in Konya city in southern part of the country.
"The project cost of the power plant is 68.2 million Turkish liras ($11.4 million), and its capacity will reach six megawatts," the message said.
“In total, Turkey plans to invest $1 billion in the development of renewable energy sources,” Turkish former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak said.
“The construction of new power plants will increase Turkey’s energy security,” he added.
“A new project for development of renewable energy sources will provide about 3,750 people with jobs,” the former minister said.
