Export of Turkish chemical products to Georgia slightly drops

Export of chemical products from Turkey to Georgia slightly dropped in January 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend on Feb. 19.

Turkey’s export of chemical products to Georgia dropped by 2.3 percent in January 2020 compared to the same month of 2019, amounting to $20.5 million

In January 2020, Turkey’s export of chemical products to the world market increased by 10.6 percent compared to January 2019, and amounted to $1.7 billion.

In this month, Turkey’s export of chemical products amounted to 11.5 percent of country’s total export.

In 2019, export of chemical products from Turkey amounted to $20.7 billion, or 11.4 percent of country’s total export for this year.

In the meantime, Turkey’s foreign trade turnover exceeded $374.2 billion.

Turkey's export increased by 2.1 percent in 2019 and amounted to $171.5 billion compared to 2018. In the meantime, Turkey's import dropped by 9.1 percent and amounted to $202.7 billion.
