Turkey reveals volume of cargo shipped through Hopa port

The transshipment of cargo through the Turkish port of Hopa in Artvin province in January 2020 has amounted to 20,616 tons, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Feb. 27.
The ships under the Turkish flag transshipped 39 tons, and the ships under flag of other countries – 20,577 tons of cargo.
In January 2020, no cargoes were transported via transit through the port of Hopa, the ministry said.
In January 2020, the cargo transshipment volume through Turkish ports was over 32.9 million tons.
During January 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment by the ships under Turkish flag has made up over 2.4 million tons. The remaining 30.5 million tons accounted for other countries.
For January 2020, over 6.1 million tons of transit cargo were transshipped through Turkish ports.
