Turkey’s export of cement to Iran grew from January through February 2020 by 0.5 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend on March 13.
In February 2020, Turkey’s export of cement to Iran also increased - by 49.3 percent compared to February 2019, and exceeded $1.9 million, the ministry noted.
Export of cement from Turkey to world markets from January through February 2020 made up $597.8 million, which is 15.3 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
Turkey’s export of cement made up 2 percent of the country’s total export for January through February of 2020.
In February 2020, Turkey exported cement worth over $309.7 million to world markets, which is 16.3 percent more than in the same month of 2019.
Volume of cement export from Turkey in February 2020 made up 1.2 percent of the country’s total export.
During the last 12 months, i.e. from February 2019 through February 2020 Turkey exported cement worth $3.5 billion.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in 2019 exceeded $374.2 billion.
