Turkey's export of electrical goods to world markets dropped by 5.9 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $2.5 billion, Turkey’s Trade Ministry told Trend.

Over the reporting period, the export of electrical goods from Turkey amounted to 5.9 percent of the country’s total export.

In March 2020, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to world markets dropped by 16.1 percent compared to March 2019, amounting to $832.8 million. Meanwhile, Turkey's export of electrical goods amounted to 6.2 percent of the country’s total export.

From March 2019 through March 2020, Turkey’s export of electrical goods to world markets amounted to $11 billion.

Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in February 2020 exceeded $32.2 billion.

In February 2020, export from Turkey increased by 2.3 percent compared to February 2019, exceeding $14.6 billion.

Turkey's import increased by 9.8 percent in February 2020 compared to the same month of 2019 and exceeded $17.6 billion.

From January through February 2020, Turkey’s trade turnover exceeded $66.1 billion.
