Cargo transshipment from Libya via Turkish ports in 1Q2020 revealed

Cargo transshipment from Libya via Turkish ports amounted to 979,769 tons from January through March 2020, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on April 20.

The volume of cargo transshipment from Libya via Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 93,106 tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 886,663 tons from January through March 2020.

According to the ministry, in1Q2020, ships flying the Libyan flag did not transship cargo via Turkish ports.

From January through March 2020, 19,575 tons of cargo from Libya were transited through Turkish ports.

In the first quarter of 2020, the volume of cargo transported by ships via Turkish ports amounted to over 94.6 million tons.

According to the ministry, the volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 7.4 million tons from January through March 2020.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries in the first quarter of this year amounted to 3.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 83.1 million tons.

Over the reporting period, 18.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to 32.1 million tons in March 2020. The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.8 million tons.

In March 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 1.3 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships under the flags of other countries stood at 27.9 million tons.

According to the ministry, 5.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in March 2020.
