Cargo transshipment from the UAE through Turkish ports amounted to 359,984 tons from January through March 2020, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Over the reporting period, all the cargo transshipment from the UAE through Turkish ports were carried out by ships flying the flag of other countries.
The volume of cargo transshipped by transit from the UAE via Turkish ports amounted to 174,915 tons.
During the reporting period, the volume of cargo transported by ships via Turkish ports amounted exceeded 94.6 million tons.
According to the ministry, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 7.4 million tons from January through March 2020.
The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries' flags amounted to 3.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 83.1 million tons in 1Q2020.
Over the reporting period, 18.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.
The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to 32.1 million tons in March 2020.
The volume of cargo transshipped by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.8 million tons.
In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries' flags amounted to 1.3 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 27.9 million tons.
According to the ministry, 5.9 million tons of cargo was transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
