Cargo transshipment volume through Turkish Antalya port in 1Q2020 disclosed

Transshipment of goods through the Turkish port of Antalya in the same province made up 698,836 tons from January through March 2020, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on April 27.

According to the ministry, in 1Q2020, 65,779 tons were handled by ships flying the Turkish flag in the port of Antalya, while 633,057 tons of cargo were handled by ships flying the flags of other countries.

"From January through March 2020, no cargo was transited through the Antalya port," the ministry said.

During the reporting period, the volume of cargo carried by ships via Turkish ports amounted to over 94.6 million tons.

The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 7.4 million tons from January through March 2020, the ministry said.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 3.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 83.1 million tons from January through March 2020.

Over the reporting period, 18.4 million tons of cargo was transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to 32.1 million tons in March 2020.

The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.8 million tons in March 2020.

In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 1.3 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 27.9 million tons.

According to the ministry, 5.9 million tons of cargo was transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
