Russia increases cargo transportation to Turkey

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27

Some 2,210 Russian trucks transported cargo to Turkey in the first four months of 2020, which is 14 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

For the reporting period, 1.73 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation by trucks to Turkey accounted for Russia, the association said.

According to UND, 558 trucks from Russia transported cargo to Turkey in April 2020, which is 16 percent more compared to April 2019.

In total, 125,108 trucks from different countries transported cargo to Turkey from January through April 2020, which is 7 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

In April 2020, 20,616 trucks of different countries transported cargo to Turkey, which is 42 percent less compared to April 2019.
