Number of companies with French capital registered in Turkey shrinks

Fifteen companies with French capital were registered in Turkey from January through April 2020, which is seven companies less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).

The total capital of the French companies registered in Turkey from January through April 2020 amounted to 10.2 million Turkish liras ($1.5 million) compared to 5.9 million Turkish liras ($867,136) in the same period of 2019.

From January through April 2020, most of the French companies were registered in Istanbul (12 companies) with the total capital worth 3.08 million Turkish liras ($452,674).

The following companies with the French capital were registered in Turkey from January through April 2020: two industrial companies, three financial companies, three wholesale and retail trade companies, three tourism companies, and one real estate company.

"The remaining three companies with the French capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.

In accordance with the data, the total capital of three wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 975,000 Turkish liras ($143,298).
