Data on cargo transit runs from Georgia through Turkey disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29

As many as 675,000 trucks transited cargo from Georgia through Turkey during the first four months of 2020, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

According to UND, the volume of transit cargo transportation from Georgia through Turkey decreased by 15 percent in the reporting months compared to the same months of 2019.

In April 2020, 42 cargo transportation runs by transit from Georgia through Turkey was carried out, which is 73 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

Some 29,646 trucks transited cargo through Turkey from January through April 2020, which is 15 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, UND said.

Meanwhile, 5,057 trucks transited cargo through Turkey in April 2020, which is 47 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, said UND.
