Export of wood and furniture from Turkey to Germany increased by 14.45 percent in the past nine months of 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having exceeded $162.2 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on Oct.20.
In September 2020, the export of wood and furniture from Turkey to Germany also grew by 28.75 percent compared to the same month of 2019 and surpassed $20.3 million.
Turkey’s export of wood and furniture made up 3.6 percent of the country's total exports from January through September of the current year.
In September 2020, Turkey exported wood and furniture worth over $514.4 million to international markets, which is 12.4 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.
Turkey’s furniture and wood exports for September 2020 accounted for 3.4 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (from September 2019 through September 2020), Turkey exported furniture and wood worth over $5.47 billion abroad.
