Turkish wood, furniture exports to Georgia down - Trade Ministry

Export of wood and furniture from Turkey to Georgia decreased by 18.6 percent in the past nine months of 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having made up over $88.2 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

In September 2020, Turkey exported wood and furniture worth over $11.5 million to Georgia, which is 11.81 percent compared to the same month of 2019.

Turkey’s export of wood and furniture made up 3.6 percent of the country's total exports during the reporting period.

In September 2020, Turkey exported wood and furniture worth over $514.4 million to international markets, which is 12.4 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.

Turkey’s furniture and wood exports for September 2020 accounted for 3.4 percent of the country's total exports.

Over the past 12 months (from September 2019 through September 2020), Turkey exported furniture and wood worth over $5.47 billion abroad.
