Turkish TOBB reveals number of registered Iranian companies in Jan.2021

Turkey registered 60 companies with Iranian capital in January 2021, which is by 23 companies less than in the same month of the previous year, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend.

According to TOBB, in the reporting month, the total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey made up over 10.4 million liras ($1.4 million), as compared to over 12.1 million liras ($1.6 million) in January 2020.

Meanwhile, most of the Iranian companies were registered in Istanbul (55 companies) with a total capital of more than 9.8 million liras ($1.3 million).

Twenty-three of the companies were engaged in wholesale and retail trade, five - in real estate sales, five were industrial, three – tourist, and one – financial company.

"The remaining companies with Iranian capital operate in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.

The total capital of 23 companies operating in the wholesale and retail trade registered during the reporting month made up over 2.5 million liras ($340,000), according to TOBB.

In 2020 Turkey had registered 725 companies with Iranian capital.
