Turkey's exports to Turkic-speaking countries increased by 28.3 percent in January 2021 compared to January 2020, amounting to $469.8 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
The ministry noted that exports to Turkic-speaking countries in the reporting month amounted to 3.1 percent of Turkey's total exports in 2021.
According to the ministry, Turkey's imports from Turkic-speaking countries in the mentioned month decreased by 4.2 percent over the year, amounting to $289.9 million.
At the same time, Turkey’s imports from Turkic-speaking countries accounted for 1.6 percent of the country’s total imports.
In January 2021, Turkey's trade turnover amounted to over $34.2 billion.
As of late January this year, Turkey's exports decreased by 2.3 percent compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to $15.4 billion, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, Turkey's imports decreased by 5.9 percent on an annualized basis, settling at $18.7 billion.
