Turkey sees increase in exports of locally-made steel to Kazakhstan

The value of steel exports from Turkey to Kazakhstan increased by 26.8 percent from January through February 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, totaling over $3.09 million, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.

As reported, in February 2021, Turkey’s steel exports to Kazakhstan grew by 32.2 percent compared to February 2020 and surpassed $2 million.

In the first 2 months of 2021, the export of steel from Turkey increased by 6.3 percent compared to the same period of last year, exceeding $2.26 billion, the ministry said.

In February 2021, Turkey exported steel worth over $1.21 billion to global markets, which is 21.5 percent more compared to the same month of 2020.

Over the past 12 months (from February 2020 to February 2021), Turkey exported steel worth over $12.7 billion.
