Volume of 2M2021 solid mineral fuel shipment via Turkish ports revealed

The volume of solid mineral fuel’s transshipment through the ports of Turkey exceeded 6.3 million tons in the first two months of 2021, the country's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period, the volume of solid mineral fuel’s transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 324,964 tons.

From January through February of this year, more than 5.9 million tons of the mentioned product have been handled by ships flying the flags of other countries, added the ministry.

Meanwhile, no solid mineral fuel was transited through the ports of Turkey.

The total volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey exceeded 58.3 million tons in the first two months of 2021.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 4.7 million tons.

From January through February 2021, more than 53.5 million tons of cargo have been handled by ships flying the flags of other countries, added the ministry.

Meanwhile, 11.8 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

In February of this year, 29.6 million tons of cargo were handled through the ports, including 2.2 million tons by ships flying Turkish flag, and more than 26.9 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries.

Besides, more than 5.8 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey in the past month, added the ministry.
