The number of job seekers from Turkey in Turkmenistan surged 2.3 times from January through March 2021, making up 109 people, the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) told Trend.
“In the first 5 months of this year, the number of Turkish citizens who visited Turkmenistan through İŞKUR to find work rose by 9.2 percent compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to 4,683 people,” the agency said.
In May 2021, 63,545 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs via İŞKUR.
Of the total number of employed persons, 30.2 percent accounted for women, 69.8 percent – for men. At the same time, 99.2 percent of applicants got a job in the private sector.
The number of unemployed persons in Turkey as of May 2021 was 2,893, of which 48.2 percent were women, 51.8 percent - men.
