Turkey's export to OIC countries notably up in value

Turkish exports to the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) increased from January through May 2021, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.

According to the ministry, this indicator surpassed $21.9 billion compared to the same period of 2020, up by 32.8 percent

In May 2021, Turkey's exports to the OIC countries spiked by 53.6 percent compared to May 2020, exceeding $3.7 billion.

The ministry also said that Turkey's imports from the mentioned countries in the first five months of 2021 increased by 12.3 percent on annual basis, amounting to $11.7 billion.

Turkey's imports from OIC countries in May 2021 rose by 4.8 percent compared to the same month of 2020, amounting to $2.13 billion, added the ministry.
