The number of companies with Azerbaijani capital registered in Turkey from January through November 2021 grew, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) told Trend.
According to TOBB, this indicator amounted to 216 companies, up by 78 on annual basis.
The total capital of the mentioned companies registered in Turkey in the first 11 months of this year exceeded 59.8 million Turkish liras ($4.6 million), while in the same period of last year this figure was at the level of over 30.3 million Turkish liras ($2.3 million).
Most of the companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Istanbul (189). Their total capital amounted to 53.3 million Turkish liras ($4 million).
Of the total number of registered companies, 92 operate in wholesale and retail trade, 22 in transport and logistics, 19 in the industrial sector, 12 in tourism, another 12 are engaged in the sale of real estate, 10 in construction, one works in the mining sector, and one in agriculture.
"The rest of the companies with Azerbaijani capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
The aggregate capital of 92 wholesale and retail companies registered in 11M2021 amounted to over 20.4 million Turkish liras ($1.5 million).
In 2020, 148 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey. At the same time, 126 such companies with a total capital of 21.19 million Turkish liras ($1.6 million) were registered in Istanbul.
