Turkey discloses cargo shipments via its ports from Bulgaria

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 27

The ports of Turkey handled over 3.04 million tons of cargo from Bulgaria over the period from January through November 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, at the same time, over 1.2 million tons of cargo from Bulgaria were delivered to ports by ships flying the Turkish flag, while 1.7 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

Also, during this period, ships flying the Bulgarian flag delivered 21,000 tons of cargo to Turkish ports.

Turkish ports handled 1.2 million tons of transit cargo from Bulgaria in 11M2021.

Moreover, 350.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through November 2021.

During the reporting period, 27.4 million tons cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the domestic ports.

Some 322.9 million tons of goods were shipped through the Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of other countries.

Moreover, 70.8 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period, the ministry said.

The Turkish ports as a whole handled 31.5 million tons of goods in November 2021.

Some 2.3 million tons of cargo were transported through domestic ports by ships flying the Turkish flag, while 29.1 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries in November 2021.

Thus, 7.001 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in November 2021.
