Turkish seaport Aliaga reveals volume of goods transshipment

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. The port of Aliaga, the third largest in Turkey, handled 11.6 million tons of cargo from January through February 2022, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.

According to the ministry, 645,680 tons of cargo was transported by ships under the Turkish flag through the Aliaga port and 11 million tons by ships under the flags of other countries.

"The Turkish port of Aliaga handled 64,354 tons of transit cargo from January through February 2022," the ministry said.

The ports of Turkey handled 31.1 million tons of cargo in February 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 28.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 6.2 million tons of transit cargo in February 2022.

Turkish ports handled 64.4 million tons of cargo from January through February 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 4.6 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 59.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 13.9 million tons of transit cargo from January through February 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356.3 million tons in 2021.

Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo last year.
