Turkish ministry reveals volume of goods transshipment from US by local ports for 4M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. The ports of Turkey handled 12.1 million tons of cargo from the US from January through April 2022, the Turkish Transport Ministry told Trend.

According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 345,735 tons of cargo from the US to local ports, and ships flying the flags of other countries – 11.8 million tons.

US-flagged ships delivered 1,280 tons of cargo to Turkish ports during this period.

Turkish ports handled 119,001 tons of transit cargo from the United States from January through April 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 32.06 million tons of cargo in April 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.09 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 29.9 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 7.1 million tons of transit cargo in April 2022.

Turkish ports handled 130.8 million tons of cargo from January through April 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6.05 million tons during this period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 121.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 27.7 million tons of transit cargo from January through April 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356.3 million tons in 2021.

Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo last year.
