BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. A total of 128 companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Türkiye in 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) said, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.
That is 68 companies more than in 2021.
It was noted that along with the number of registered Uzbek companies, their total capital also increased.
"In the reporting period, the total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 78.1 million Turkish liras ($4.15 million), while in 2021, this figure was 11.9 million Turkish liras ($632,690)," said the statement.
The majority of the Uzbek companies (111) were registered in Istanbul in 2022.
"The total capital of the Uzbek companies registered in Istanbul accounted for 65.7 million Turkish liras ($3.4 million)," said the statement.
Out of the total number of registered companies, 63 companies are engaged in wholesale and retail trade, while 13 companies – in exports. The remaining companies operate in other sectors of the economy.
