Iranian bus overturns in Turkish province of Bitlis

( Cihan ) - An Iranian-plated bus overturned in eastern Turkish province of Bitlis on Tuesday morning, killing three people and injuring 49 others.

Iranian driver Muhammad Reza Abdi lost control of the vehicle, registered IR 15 712, on the 35th kilometer of Tatvan-Van highway and the bus carrying Iranian passengers overturned near a gendarmerie station in the Tatvan district.

Three of the passengers were killed while 49 others, who were injured in the accident, are now under treatment in several hospitals in Bitlis and Tatvan.

Six of the injured were in serious condition and they were taken to Van University hospital.
