С ) - Turkey has confirmed that the presidents of Afghanistan and Pakistan are scheduled to meet in Turkish capital Ankara later this month to discuss the continuous tension between the two countries.
A statement from Turkish President's Office on Friday said that Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai would arrive in Ankara on April 29 for a two-day meeting in the presence of Turkish leaders.
Musharraf and Karzai are expected to discuss the issues they disagree on and hold a joint press conference following their meeting.
Pakistan and Afghanistan have been at loggerheads for a long time over accusations that the former is failing to stop Taliban militants based in its tribal areas from launching attacks across the border.
