( Cihan ) - Turkish Chief of General Staff has reiterated his opinion that a military offensive into northern Iraq to fight against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) terrorists based there,
"You cannot say that 'We will enter into northern Iraq and eradicate the PKK', however, you will take a huge swing at it," Gen. Yasar Buyukanit told a press conference on Wednesday.
Buyukanit and Land Forces Commander Gen. Ilker Basbug have been in southwestern province of Isparta, where Turkish commandoes undergo special and severe training especially to combat the outlawed PKK, which has recently intensified its attacks on Turkish military.
