BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić has addressed a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his confident victory in the extraordinary presidential election, Trend reports.
"Dear President,
I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate you on your recent re-election as President of Azerbaijan.
I look forward to continuing to work together on our shared principles of development of human rights, democracy and the rule of law throughout you term in office. The Council of Europe will continue to support, alongside the international community, all efforts aimed at peace, stability and good neighborly relations in the region," the letter reads.
