BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 30. The finance ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have signed a memorandum of cooperation, Trend reports via the Kyrgyz Ministry.
The signing took place during a bilateral meeting between Kyrgyz Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev and Tajik Finance Minister Faiziddin Qahhorzoda.
The signed memorandum lays the groundwork for boosting teamwork in the financial sector, paving the way for sharing know-how, rolling out joint projects, and reeling in foreign investments. This partnership is set to pave the way for regional stability and economic growth.
The above meeting took place within the Annual Meetings of the Board of Governors of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), held in Washington, D.C., from October 21 to 26.
Throughout the event, the Kyrgyz Finance Minister held a series of high-level discussions focused on financing issues and support for the implementation of structural reforms.
