TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 29. A parliamentary election was held in Uzbekistan on October 27, in which more than 15 million voters took part, and according to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan, the turnout was 74.7 percent, the special correspondent of Trend said, covering the election at the invitation of the government of Uzbekistan.

At a press conference on the election results, Uzbekistan's CEC Chairman Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev stated: “More than 132,000 citizens voted abroad at 57 polling stations organized in 40 countries. Some shortcomings were identified, but they did not have a significant impact on the overall course and legality of the election”.
The deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Polvanov, emphasized that the election process was conducted at a high level and in compliance with legal norms. International observers noted that voters have become more conscious of their choice.
