BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 29. Entrepreneurs have invested a total of 46.1 million manat ($27.1 million) in the Neftchala Industrial Quarter, with plans to inject an additional 14.4 million manat ($8.4 million) into ongoing projects, Head of the Press Service at the Agency for Economic Zone Development under the Ministry of Economy Elchin Kazimov told Trend.
He noted that the industrial quarter has churned out goods worth more than 180 million manat ($105.8 million) so far, with exports making up a tidy sum of 1 million manat ($588,000).
"Over the first nine months of 2024, the industrial quarter generated products worth 30 million manat ($17.6 million). Currently, residents of the Neftchala Industrial Quarter have invested 46.2 million manat ($27.1 million), creating around 290 permanent jobs.
The next phase aims to create over 200 additional jobs through existing projects," Kazimov added.
